Sirat

Privacy Policy

How Sirat handles your data in a simple, privacy-first way.

Last updated: February 23, 2026

1. Location Data

Sirat uses location to calculate prayer times, determine Qibla, and show nearby mosques. Depending on the feature, coordinates may be sent to Sirat's backend, which may call third-party APIs (for example Aladhan and Google Places) to return results. Sirat does not operate its own long-term location database for users.

2. Device Information

Sirat uses device capabilities and permission state (location, notifications, and audio/session behavior) to provide app features. Core preferences and caches are stored locally on your device.

3. Prayer Notifications

Notification preferences are saved locally on your device. Sirat does not collect usage telemetry for notifications.

4. Internet Access

Sirat calls backend endpoints for dua matching, prayer times, holiday data, and mosque lookup; backend services may call trusted APIs such as Aladhan, Google Places, and OpenAI when needed. Sirat also streams Quran audio from online sources. For dua matching, local regex matching is used first in-app when possible.

5. Data Retention

App data such as settings, notification preferences, prayer-time caches, Quran bookmarks/progress, dua history, and Ramadan tracker entries are stored locally on your device. You can clear this data by uninstalling the app or resetting local app storage.

6. Third-Party Services

Sirat does not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking SDKs, or user profiling services. Third-party services used for app functionality may include Google Maps/Places, Aladhan, OpenAI, and Expo services. Review their privacy policies for details.

7. Your Consent

Using Sirat indicates acceptance of this policy. If you disagree, discontinue use of the app.
